About the workshop

The ICEAA Canada Workshop is designed for the cost estimation industry. This workshop brings together professionals from government, industry, and academic cost communities for an intensive 2-day program dedicated to developing the understanding and appreciation of using data-driven estimating and analysis techniques.

For implementing small to large-scale programs and procurement projects, government and industry regularly engage in cost-benefit evaluation and analysis. We have designed this workshop to help participants gain knowledgeable insights of cost estimates and related aspects. Attendees get a good perspective of areas like sensitivity analysis, balancing risk and uncertainty in addition to exploring what questions to ask as a recipient of cost-benefit analysis.

Who attends?

This is designed for professionals, managers and executives who review cost-benefit analysis and are responsible for making decisions that involve resource allocations and involve policy choices.

Why attend?

This workshop is designed to introduce the discipline of cost estimating to the professionals of public, government and the private sector.

  • Insight to understanding and probing cost-benefit analyses for capital expenditure
  • Outline the strengths, weaknesses and associated metrics used in this analysis
  • Improve the reliability and credibility of your decisions based on data and analysis
  • Learn how cost estimating reinforces the decision process
  • Equip you to answer "what does it cost?" and "is it worth the cost?”
