Leadership Program

What happens when you have a team whose members won’t speak up?  Who feel the need to “go along to get along”?  Who feels it safer to go against their better judgment, to the point of putting the entire initiative in grave peril?  Who dismisses expert judgment with the wave of a hand?  Who sanctions the normalization of deviance from agreed-upon best practices?

And what does that say about leaders of an organization where this is permitted, and even actively supported?

Former space shuttle astronaut Mike Mullane will present a compelling account of how these factors led to the disastrous explosion of the space shuttle Challenger. A highly capable panel of senior leaders will then engage the audience in a spirited discussion about the importance of Speaking Up; Playing the Position for which you were Hired; and recognizing and preventing Normalized Deviance.
